3xa Design prepared a development strategy for a working farm and equestrian centre, looking first at proposals to reorganise the approach to and setting of the existing farmhouse, and then at the outline redevelopment of the extant indoor riding centre. The proposed scheme creates a shared landscape and natural habitat setting, which individual properties look onto and access.
Making use of the existing topography, new houses are clustered to the north-eastern edge of the site and comprise one group of dwellings arranged around a shared courtyard, and three substantial detached homes.
